The recent Memphis shooting has left the city reeling, and the city is still grappling with the aftermath. In the weeks before the attack, a pastor was killed in a carjacking, an activist was murdered in a dispute over money, and a 34-year-old teacher was abducted and killed. Although the motive for the attack is not yet known, local officials are trying to bring the community back together.

The police in Memphis are asking people to stay indoors following the shooting, and they are asking anyone with information to call 911. The shooting is the second high-profile killing in Memphis in recent weeks, after the killing of a pastor in daylight and the shooting of an activist for money. The suspect, named Kelly, was arrested in connection with the shooting and is currently in jail.

The police have not commented on the details surrounding the incident, but the local media have reported that at least five people were shot at an auto parts store. The suspect, identified as Ezekiel Kelly, was arrested and charged with a number of crimes, including killing a Memphis resident, John Turnstall. The suspect, identified as Ezekiell Kelly, reportedly lived on Facebook and threatened to harm citizens. In addition to the Memphis shooting, the suspect is being sought by the police in an ongoing citywide manhunt.

Following a frantic manhunt, authorities in Memphis, Tennessee, arrested 19-year-old suspect Ezekiel Kelly. Police said Kelly had committed at least eight crimes before he was apprehended. He will face multiple felony charges when he is arraigned. The shooting spree spanned eight different crime scenes, crossing into neighboring Mississippi.

The Memphis shooting has shut down much of the city, including public transportation and minor-league baseball games. Police warned people to remain indoors and urged them to shelter in place. They also suspended public bus services and closed down university campuses. As of Wednesday afternoon, the suspect had been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

The suspect drove a silver or blue Infiniti with a red dealer tag and a busted rear window. The shooting was live streamed on Facebook. He later drove a gray Toyota SUV with an Arkansas license plate. Ezekiel Kelly has been charged with first-degree attempted murder, aggravated assault, employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.

While Kelly was initially charged with attempted first-degree murder, he eventually pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. He was sentenced to three years in prison and was released eleven months later. The Memphis police department believes that Kelly also carjacked a gas station in Arkansas and later returned to Memphis.

The Memphis shooting happened in the early morning hours of Oct. 13, 2022, in the 7100 block of Dokkum Drive. Police say he pulled the knife on the victim before he shot him. McAbee claims that he did not intend to shoot the child or Alice Williams, but did not mean to kill her either. Other witnesses claim that he shot the woman when she attempted to put herself between him and the 19-year-old.
