I‘m a Graphic Designer, and yes I’m passionate about it. I have a career which I love, I am financially stable, and I love my creative art, and I’m sure you do too, right? And you know what? That’s all you need to know about Graphic Design. What’s more important, it’s what drives you. So, let’s dive into “graphic design is my passion”, and how I achieved it.
Graphic Design, like everything that you love for a living, has many examples of people who have followed their passions, and made it to success. Graphic Design has been on the news quite often lately, with several examples of self made millionaires because they had an entrepreneurial itch (which is a good thing). Graphic Design has always been a creative art, and it’s obvious in some ways, it’s a cut throat world where the best minds are attracted. When we look at the world of graphic design, there is a clear indication of passion, in a world full of highly competitive individuals who will settle for nothing less than perfection.
So what makes graphic design so interesting? In fact, I’d say it’s the easiest thing to do, and it allows us to express ourselves creatively. The world of graphic design is my passion, and that’s why it’s so enjoyable. Graphic Design isn’t a boring career, with all the rules that we’re supposed to follow. The truth is, I like a challenge, and I love to find new challenges in every field I work in. Creating designs for clients, from logos and business cards to posters and catalogues, requires me to think out of the box, and that’s one of my favorite things about this job.
When I started out “Graphic Design is my passion” as an Internee, I made a half-hearted attempt at freelance work. It was hard work and not particularly interesting work (making fun of my Intern for her haphazard work). But after a few months of freelancing, I came across something that changed my career – an amazing full-time position as a Staff Designer at a big publishing company. Once I got that position, I knew I had found my calling, and that I would be designing for companies for the rest of my life.
I love to create beautiful layouts, and I love to help my customers achieve those designs. One way I help my clients achieve their desires is by using a “burning passion Meme Background”. This is a free download from My Burning Passion, and it’s a phenomenal way to get yourself motivated. By typing in a phrase or a name into the search box, you can quickly generate millions of different poems, images, and photos that will help you get your creative juices flowing. You can even save and print out the ones that you’re most fond of. I have saved my most inspiring poetry, and you’ll have these treasures forever if you take the time to download them!
Another way I use this song is when I’m starting a new client project, or updating my portfolio. It seems to me that nothing says “stylish” like a beautifully colored and arranged stack of paper featuring one of my favorite songs. For clients who are also graphic designers, this can be a great tool to motivate them. Let them see your ability to arrange and present a variety of elements in an aesthetically pleasing manner. This will really give them a good feeling about the work you’re doing.
There’s another reason why graphic design is my passion. I used to be a full-time designer for several years before becoming a freelance artist. I learned so much about how to design, about business, about marketing, about building a work portfolio, and about being an artist by getting to experience it firsthand. The best part was knowing that the success my business partner and I were experiencing was because of the knowledge and experience we gained while pursuing our own passions. When we got laid off from our full-time jobs, we had to start from zero. I had to learn how to market, how to display my work, and how to build a solid portfolio.
Graphic designing was how we paid our way through school, and it continues to be how I pay my bills and provide for my family. For many graphic designers, the pursuit of this profession provides the freedom and flexibility they need to pursue their own artistic passions. If you love creativity, then graphic designing could be your career of choice. Get started today!
